Teresa

MAES in Local Economic Development Candidate, U Waterloo

Teresa

Teresa grew up in New Zealand, which taught her to be easy going. She has lived in East Africa and South East Asia and 7 cities in Canada without fully understanding why Canadian homes need so much storage space. She has worked in refugee resettlement and community peace building and is currently studying social entrepreneurship as part of a MAES in Local Economic Development at the University of Waterloo. Teresa wants to help co-create genuine learning spaces, to understand better how economies work and how change travels in a system. She especially enjoys seeing people and communities come to a deeper appreciation of their own value. This can lead to exciting new ways of interacting with one another. She believes the world can be (and wants to be) a better place. Teresa will work with Knack to grow their badging ecosystem.
