Jean Pogge joined Ecotrust Canada as President in 2016. A former senior banking executive, Jean relocated from Chicago where she worked for 18 years at ShoreBank, the leading community development and conservation bank in the United States. She served as Executive Vice President until 2010 when she took over leadership of Delta Institute, a non-profit social enterprise.
During her tenure, Pogge built the Delta Institute into an influential and innovative non-profit in the Great Lakes Region. Delta tackles some of the region’s most intractable social and environmental challenges, from the urban decay of Detroit and brownfield redevelopment to transitioning small towns off coal-fired power plants. They also spearhead innovative climate change initiatives such as the first nitrogen credit program, incentivizing farmers to reduce fertilizer use.
Jean holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy.
